BEC Gives Back

BEC is aligned with Capitalism 2.0 standards, redefining success in business, and subscribes to ConsciousCapitalism.org and Bcorp.net principles.

We are proud to share our time and expertise supporting local community non-profits as well as advancing the research and development of Agile and Scrum principles around the country. In 2013, we helped raise over $45,000 to support abused and neglected children struggling in the juvenile court system through our sponsorship of non-profit group, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). Recently, BEC has given to cancer-related charities including the American Cancer Society and the Jimmy V Foundation.  Additionally, our national team enjoys highlighting the research and success of Agile speakers through our national Meetup groups below.

The 2013 Superhero run was presented by Berkana Enterprise Consulting (formerly The Bodhia Group), netting $45,000 for CASA’s work advocating for abused and neglected children, who are struggling in the juvenile court system. See Richmond Times Dispatch article…

NASA Involvement

Initially sparked years ago through BEC’s training program development onsite at NASA’s Langley Research Center, BEC expanded involvement in NASA’s community outreach in 2016 through its Lean-Agile Leadership conference.  With dozens of speakers — many world-renowned — showcasing lean-agile industry breakthroughs in aerospace and hardware/software delivery as well, BEC provided NASA employees and local visitors with a full day of sharing recent case studies, new agile applications as well as a strong boost of innovation energy.  Additional training and conferences are in the making at NASA locations nationally.
